Dark and dense, this easy-to-make bacon and onion beer loaf is full of complex, caramel flavours.
The ingredient of Bacon Onion Beer Bread
- melted butter to grease
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 brown onion finely chopped
- 200g short cut bacon rashers finely chopped
- 450g 3 cups self raising flour
- 80g 1 cup harshly roughly grated vintage cheddar
- 250ml 1 cup lager beer chilled
- 250ml 1 cup stout beer chilled
The Instruction of bacon onion beer bread
- preheat oven to 200u00b0c brush a 6cm deep 12 5 x 24 5cm loaf pan with melted butter
- heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat cook the onion stirring for 20 minutes or until vivacious golden and starting to caramelise build up the bacon and cook stirring for 10 minutes or until the bacon is golden set aside for 30 minutes to cool completely
- count the flour cheddar and onion mix in a large bowl increase be credited with the lager and stout stir up until with ease combined spoon the blend into the prepared pan and sleek slick the surface bake for 45 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean set aside for 5 minutes to cool slightly transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
